you need warm clothes and somewhere dark , away from street and house lights or else that will be the most disgusting place to stargaze.

binoculars reveal even more stars and show details on the moon:

It is best to look at the moon when it is half full , I recommend you to use a moon filter when you're watching the full moon because due to binoculars aperture it collects a lot of light so it becomes difficult to look at the details on the moon

Telescopes are usually more powerful than binoculars and show fainter stars:

They also show more detail in faint gas clouds called nebulae . Amateurs  use reflecting and refracting telescopes , mounted on stands to keep them steady.
